Baby Food and more...
We started JV on baby food this week and boy does he love it. We have only given him green beans, peas, and squash so far. He is so cute when he eats he opens his mouth for the next bite. As soon as I get the washcloth to wipe him up he starts crying. We have discovered he is a very serious eater. He will not smile while he is eating, he is very focused. Our little guy is getting so big. It seems like everyday he is doing something new. He never really cries but he will babble like crazy to let you know if he is upset or happy. For the most part he is a very happy baby. He also discovered his feet, they are the coolest things to him. He still can't get them quite to his mouth but he will spend awhile trying.

John Vincent's Baptism

On Sunday July, 20th we had our little guy baptized. What a ham he was. The whole day went well, after the baptism we went back to Mike and Joanie's house for a pool party. During the ceremony JV was all smiles laughing at the Deacon when he was talking. He loves to be the center of attention. Thank you to his godparents, Siana and Anthony, we were honored to have them there. Here are a few pics of the day.

John Vincent
God blessed our family with a beautiful baby boy on April 16, 2008. He arrived weighing 9 pounds 2 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. We fell in love immediately. When he was around 5 weeks old he was diagnosed with pyloric stenosis. This is where the bottom valve in his stomach grew shut. This was fixed with surgery. The tough little guy handled things better than mom and dad. He will not have anymore problems with this in the future, it was a one time thing. After that weekend he has taken off in growing and developing more everyday. Around that same time he recieved a monkey burp cloth that he is now attached to. Even we were surprised that at a young age he latched on to something so quick, but he loves to hold it in his hands. It is ecspecially important at feedings and bed time. JV is three months old now and the time has flown by. He loves to be around people and is such a ham. He started laughing when we tickle him the other day. He is sleeping great at night, we put him to bed by 9:30 and he doesn't get up untill 8 to 8:30 the next morning. JV also loves his Daddy, he can just sit and stare at him for hours. We are so happy to have such a great little baby.
Quick Update
So I am starting this page for all of our family and friends to stay updated on our busy lives. As most of you know Daniel and I got married in June of 2007. Since then our lives have changed so much (for the better), we have been keeping busy. Daniel started teaching elementary school in February of this year. He is teaching at a charter school right down the road. While it is a challenging job he enjoys making a difference in the kids lives. With that said he is looking to eventually move on to teaching high school. I am still working at Starbucks as a shift supervisor. One of the other changes in our lives is God blessed us with a beautiful baby boy in April of this year. He is truely our pride and joy. We love being parents and he is such a good baby.
